IPC Terminal Petikemas combined industry education, environmental awareness and sports development at a North Jakarta high school, supporting youth engagement and sustainable waste management initiatives
Container terminal operator IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) introduced students to the container terminal industry and donated waste management facilities through a corporate social responsibility program at a public high school in North Jakarta.
The program, titled “Bakti IPC TPK: A Day to Get to Know the World of Containers with IPC TPK,” was held at SMA Negeri 13 Jakarta and aimed to strengthen engagement with local communities while raising awareness among young people about the logistics and port sectors.
IPC TPK Finance, Human Resources and Risk Management Director Yanuar Evyanto said the initiative was designed to broaden students’ understanding of the role ports and supply chains play in supporting Indonesia’s economy.

“Through the Bakti IPC TPK program, we want to expand students’ knowledge of the important role of ports and supply chains in supporting the national economy. We also support waste management activities in schools as part of the ESG principles implemented by IPC TPK,” Yanuar said.
The event featured educational sessions on container terminal operations and the logistics industry, providing students with insights into the sector and potential career opportunities.
As part of its environmental support program, IPC TPK donated waste bins and a waste-shredding machine to help improve waste management practices at the school.
The event also included quizzes and educational games aimed at increasing student participation and engagement.
A futsal coaching clinic led by Randy Satria, an IPC TPK employee and former member of Indonesia’s national futsal team, formed part of the program’s youth development activities.

During the session, students received training in basic futsal techniques while learning values such as teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and perseverance.
The program concluded with a joint school clean-up activity involving students, teachers and company representatives.
Yanuar said IPC TPK hoped to continue implementing community programs that create long-term benefits through environmental initiatives and educational activities that support youth development.
“We hope IPC TPK can consistently deliver programs that generate sustainable positive impacts, both through environmental initiatives such as independent waste management and through educational and youth development activities,” he said.
