North Jakarta Kadin, Pelindo Explore Logistics Cooperation

The North Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held talks with state port operator PT Pelindo on Wednesday to discuss cooperation in logistics development, MSME empowerment and business networking initiatives in North Jakarta.

The meeting, held at the Pelto Building in North Jakarta, was attended by North Jakarta Kadin executives for the 2025–2030 term led by chairman Arief Dharmawanto and received by Pelindo Commercial Director Farid Padang and his team.

Farid Padang outlined Pelindo’s ongoing performance and development plans, including efforts to improve port facilities at Tanjung Priok and other ports to strengthen services for port users.

Arief Dharmawanto said Pelindo remained a strategic partner in supporting economic growth in North Jakarta, which serves as one of Indonesia’s key port and logistics hubs.

“We hope to collaborate on various MSME empowerment programs, training and education for business actors, human resource development, as well as business forums and networking events that can strengthen the business ecosystem in North Jakarta,” Arief said.

During the meeting, members of the North Jakarta Kadin board introduced themselves and shared views and proposals related to logistics and business development in the region.

Andry Kristanto, deputy chairman for transportation and logistics at North Jakarta Kadin, welcomed Pelindo’s explanation regarding its operational progress and future plans.

He said Kadin expected to work closely with Pelindo to help address challenges faced by logistics and transportation businesses, particularly in the Tanjung Priok port area and North Jakarta.
