JICT joins three other leading container terminals in the final round: Colombo International Container Terminals in Sri Lanka, Dalian Container Terminal in China and Pusan Newport International Terminal in South Korea.

The nomination recognizes JICT’s operational performance, service quality, terminal reliability and contribution to supporting regional supply chains and international trade.

JICT President Director Ade Hartono said the achievement reflected the collective efforts of the company’s workforce to maintain high operational and service standards amid intensifying competition in the port sector.

“Being named among the top four finalists for Asia’s best container terminal is a significant achievement and an international recognition of our continuous efforts to improve service quality and operational performance,” Ade said in a statement on Monday.

“This recognition demonstrates that Indonesian container terminals are capable of competing with some of the best facilities in the region.”

Ade said the recognition was made possible through the support of customers, business partners, regulators and other stakeholders who have contributed to the terminal’s development.

He added that JICT would continue to improve productivity, accelerate digital transformation, maintain occupational safety standards and enhance service efficiency and reliability.

“This recognition motivates us to continue contributing to the development of Indonesia’s logistics industry and international trade,” he said.

The AFLAS Awards are among Asia’s leading accolades for the logistics, supply chain, shipping and port sectors, with winners selected based on assessments and feedback from industry participants and service users across the region.

JICT’s selection as a finalist underscores the growing competitiveness of Indonesian ports and their role in supporting economic growth, investment and trade connectivity across the Asia-Pacific region.
