JICT Provides Five Buses for Pelindo Free Homecoming Program

PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) provided five buses to transport hundreds of travelers from Jakarta to several cities in Central and East Java as part of the Pelindo Group’s free homecoming program ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

The buses departed from the buffer area of Tanjung Priok Port on Monday, carrying passengers heading to Surabaya, Solo and Madiun. The initiative forms part of the state-owned enterprises’ annual Mudik Bersama program aimed at helping Indonesians travel safely and affordably during the Eid holiday season.

JICT President Director Ade Hartono said the company’s participation reflects its commitment to providing tangible benefits to the community.

“Mudik is an important tradition for Indonesians. Through this program, we hope participants can travel safely and comfortably so they can reunite with their families in their hometowns,” Ade said during the departure event in North Jakarta.

The Pelindo Group’s 2026 Free Homecoming Program is being implemented simultaneously in several cities across Indonesia, offering thousands of seats for travelers using land, sea and rail transportation.

One participant, Ahmad, 35, said the program helped reduce the financial burden of traveling home with his family.
