The North Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held an audience meeting with the Tanjung Priok Port Authority (KSOP) on Friday, 22 May 2026, to strengthen coordination and discuss operational issues at Indonesia’s busiest port.
The meeting marked the first official visit of the North Jakarta Kadin Board for the 2025–2030 term, led by chairman Arief Dharmawan. The delegation was received by the head of the port authority, Heru Susanto, along with senior officials from the agency.

During the meeting, Arief highlighted several challenges at Tanjung Priok Port, including dwelling time and recurring traffic congestion, which he said had disrupted the flow of goods and affected loading and unloading activities.
He said closer cooperation between Kadin and the port authority was needed to help identify solutions and improve operational efficiency at the port.
Arief also proposed stronger collaboration between the two institutions through joint programs and training initiatives related to logistics and maritime operations.
North Jakarta Kadin Vice Chairman for Transportation and Logistics Andry Kristanto said the organization hoped to be involved in discussions related to port operations so it could help disseminate information directly to business actors and logistics service users affiliated with Kadin.

He added that Kadin was ready to support and collaborate in transportation and logistics programs initiated by the Tanjung Priok Port Authority.
Heru said the port authority remained committed to strengthening coordination with stakeholders, including the business community, to support smoother port operations and improve the competitiveness of Indonesia’s maritime sector.
The meeting concluded with a networking session, group photo and exchange of souvenirs between representatives of North Jakarta Kadin and the Tanjung Priok Main Port Authority.
