The flyover links Teluk Lamong Terminal with the surrounding arterial road network and is expected to improve access for freight traffic once operational. The project is designed to support port operations, streamline cargo distribution and strengthen supply chain efficiency across the region.

The infrastructure forms part of Pelindo’s broader strategy to integrate ports, industrial estates, distribution centers and major transport corridors, reducing logistics bottlenecks and improving connectivity throughout the port hinterland.

PSL, a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) specializing in port support services and integrated port-area development, is overseeing pre-operational readiness through its subsidiary, PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia (API). The preparations cover technical, operational, safety and governance requirements to ensure the facility meets operational standards before opening.

The flyover is also planned to connect with the West Outer Ring Road (JLLB), the Gelora Bung Tomo access road and the Romokalisari Toll Road, creating an integrated transport network expected to improve freight distribution and logistics efficiency across East Java.

“Ports serve not only as transportation hubs but also as drivers of regional economic growth,” Dewi Fitriyani, Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat at PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, said in a statement.

She said the access road had long been anticipated by customers because it would ease traffic congestion leading to Teluk Lamong Port, one of East Java’s busiest logistics gateways.
