Teluk Lamong Terminal Wins Zero-Accident Award

Terminal operator PT Terminal Teluk Lamong received a zero-accident and workplace HIV/AIDS prevention award from the Governor of East Java, marking more than 23 million hours without a work-related accident.

The recognition, presented during Indonesia’s 2026 National Occupational Safety and Health Month, covers 23,575,501 safe working hours recorded between Nov. 1, 2017 and Oct. 31, 2025, the company said. The award also acknowledges the terminal operator’s implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System, known locally as SMK3.

“This award belongs not only to PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, but to all employees and partners who have consistently upheld the highest standards of safety and health,” Operations Director M. Syukur said in a statement. He thanked workers and partners for their “relentless dedication” to maintaining a safe working environment.

The company also received its second Platinum award for the sustained implementation of its HIV/AIDS prevention and control program, known as P2HIV-AIDS, which it said has had a broad impact across employees and business partners.

Syukur said the achievement followed a health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) transformation launched in 2023. The initiative includes management walkthroughs, safety forums, safety induction programs, refresher training on occupational health and safety aspects, and the enforcement of minimum safety requirements.

The transformation aims to mitigate workplace risks and strengthen a safety culture across operations, the company said, adding that responsibility for occupational health and safety is shared at all levels of the organization.
