PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) posted strong operational growth in the first four months of 2026, driven by a sharp increase in international container traffic and the addition of new global shipping services.
The terminal handled 939,703 TEUs from January to April 2026, up 12.3% from 836,586 TEUs recorded in the same period last year.
International container throughput recorded the strongest growth, surging 91.25% to 185,438 TEUs from 96,962 TEUs a year earlier. The increase marked one of TTL’s highest international growth rates in recent years and reinforced its position as one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing container terminals.
The growth was supported by the entry of the CSE Service under the COSCO Shipping Group network, including OOCL, reflecting increasing confidence from global shipping lines in TTL’s operational reliability and competitiveness.
TTL said the positive performance was achieved despite continued uncertainty in the global economy and pressure on international supply chains amid geopolitical tensions, including the United States-Iran conflict, which has contributed to higher global energy and fuel costs.
The company attributed its operational resilience to ongoing transformation programs, including electrification of port equipment, optimization of energy consumption, digitalization of services, and the strengthening of integrated terminal operating systems.
President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, David P. Sirait, said the company would continue strengthening business transformation and service quality to respond to increasingly dynamic global logistics and shipping challenges.
“This growth not only reflects rising container volumes, but also growing market confidence in TTL’s service quality, operational efficiency, and readiness to support sustainable national and international logistics chains,” he said.
He added that the company would continue prioritizing ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles, human capital development, and service innovation to maintain long-term business sustainability and support national economic growth.
