PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) recorded an 8.27% year-on-year increase in container throughput in February, supported by new shipping services and higher vessel activity, the company said.
The East Java-based terminal handled 467,133 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) during the month, reflecting improved trade flows and logistics distribution in the region.
The growth was driven by the addition of new services from several international shipping lines at Teluk Lamong Terminal, alongside increased vessel calls at Nilam Terminal and three additional domestic container ship calls, the company said in a statement.
The February performance marks an early boost to the company’s 2026 operational targets.
Syaiful Anam, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretariat and Legal Affairs at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, said the increase reflects rising confidence among shipping and logistics players.
“The growth in container volume and vessel activity indicates that our services are increasingly trusted by industry players,” he said. “We will continue to improve service quality and productivity to deliver added value to users.”
TTL also attributed the positive performance to its ongoing digitalization efforts, including the implementation of an Integrated Planning and Control system aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening occupational safety and health standards.
Looking ahead, the company said it has prepared measures to manage a potential surge in cargo traffic ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday period. These include ensuring equipment and capacity readiness, providing buffer zones for truck operations, implementing a terminal booking system to regulate truck arrivals, and coordinating with logistics stakeholders.
TTL said it expects terminal operations during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr to run smoothly.
