IPC TPK Handles Bengal Tiger Line’s Jakarta-China Direct Service

IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK, a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Sub-holding (SPTP) again handles another direct service from Jakarta to China. This new service is expected to boost trade between the two countries, the Indonesia’s export to China in particular.

Routing Jakarta-Surabaya-Ningbo-Nansha, the initial service was marked by the first call of MV MTT Samalaju on June 4. Berthing at Terminal 3 Tanjung Priok, the MV MTT Samalaju loaded/unloaded as many as 1,153 TEUs containers.

MV MTT Samalaju, a LOA 159.98 meter, BEAM 24.61 m, Draught 7.7 meter containership has total capacity of 1,200 TEUs.

“This new service is expected to boost our export, especially the commodities getting significant price increasing,” commends IPC TPK Commercial and Business Development David Sirait.

“As a terminal operator, we commit to encourage the opening of new routes. In addition to optime operational performance, this is to cut logistics cost,” David said further.

David also explained that this service will help exporters and importers with another alternative in shipping their cargoes.
