Jakarta International Container Terminal JICT remains the first of Indonesia’s container terminals that has complied with ISO 22301:2019, a certificate of international organization on standardization on for business continuity management system (BCMS).
On Tuesday, 31 October 2023, PT JICT is proud to have received ISO 22301:2019 BCMS certification from TUV Rheinland which will be valid for 3 years.
PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (PT JICT) is the first container terminal in Indonesia to receive ISO 22301 certification.
“This certification proves that JICT does not only apply international standards in ensuring business continuity by mitigating risks in the event of an emergency situation that disrupts operational activities, but also safeguards customer interests and fosters higher trust from users of our terminal services,” President Director of PT JICT Ade Hartono said when receiving the certification.
Present at the certification ceremony were the entire Board of Directors of PT JICT, senior managers and parties from TUV Rheinland.
Business continuity management (BCM) is a holistic management approach. Companies recognize which are the critical processes and values that define the organization and how they can protect them from harmful influences or ensure the greatest possible reliability.
This applies in any activities through acting and communicating in a timely manner, by planning and practicing systematically, and by being able to respond effectively even in emergencies, companies thus gain the trust of their most important customers and partners.
Through BCMS, JICT can focus and ensure business continuity in cases of disasters and emergencies that have the potential to stop operations.

Therefore, immediate actions for preventive steps and series of crisis management are needed, thus every emergency situation can be handled properly without leaving long and widespread bad effects.
