Talking to the press for pre-event, FIATA RAP Chairman Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi underlined that logistics remained the sector getting fastest recovery from pandemic Covid-19 impact. Even, now the sector is growing significantly.

“However, we have to support this sector to grow faster and faster. Therefore, seamless logistics connectivity is expected, while on the same time this  (seamless logistics connectivity) has to become as guideline and reference for logistics service providers, in the Asia Pacific region, in particular,” Yukki told the press this morning (Thursday,  June 13, 2024).

Hence Yukki called for strong support from governments in the Asia Pacific region in increasing connectivity between logistics service providers from one country to another.

The governments, he said, can support it through infrastructure improvement and better trade facilities, thus supporting a better connectivity.

“Development of rail and intermodal and multimodal transportation in Asia, such as the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor which connects ASEAN countries and China is an example of connected infrastructure,” said Yukki.
