SPJM Facilitates Ramadhan Free Homecoming to Palopo, Sorowako

PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), through its social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program, is once again launching the 2025 BUMN Free Homecoming initiative. The registration for this free homecoming program officially opened on March 3, 2025, through SPJM’s social media channels.

The registration process, along with participation from other Pelindo Group entities, can be done through the website https://simudipelindo.co.id. This platform aims to provide easy access for prospective homecoming participants and prevent misuse of the program by irresponsible individuals.

At the pre-registration stage, more than 6,730 individuals from the Pelindo Group’s target of 3,800 participants have signed up. This shows a strong public interest in taking advantage of the free homecoming offer, especially considering the increasing passenger traffic during the homecoming period that often leads to skyrocketing transportation ticket prices and difficulties in securing tickets.

As per predictions, over 146.48 million people, or more than 52% of Indonesia’s total population, are expected to travel during the 2025 Eid holiday. In light of this, Pelindo Group is committed to facilitating a smooth homecoming journey for the people, ensuring they can reunite with their families during the festive period.

For 2025, SPJM is providing two free homecoming routes in South Sulawesi: Makassar-Palopo and Makassar-Sorowako. These routes were chosen to cater to the large number of workers who migrate from Palopo and Sorowako to Makassar City.

“This is our third year as one of the collaborators in implementing free homecoming activities, and we strive to continuously improve the services and facilities provided to the community,” said Tubagus Patrick, SVP Corporate Secretary of SPJM.

In total, SPJM will offer 360 homecoming and return tickets this year. To ensure the safety, comfort, and health of travelers, SPJM will provide comfortable buses, along with food, drinks, and medicines. Additionally, bus drivers and conductors will undergo health checks to ensure they are in optimal condition for travel.

Currently, the Pelindo Group Free Homecoming organizing committee is verifying the data of registered participants. The ticket ordering stage for verified travelers will take place on March 17-18, 2025. Departures will occur on March 26, 2025, with the return flow departure scheduled for April 7, 2025. All departures will take place from the Anging Mammiri Passenger Terminal at PT Pelindo Regional 4 Makassar.

“We hope that this year’s homecoming flow will run smoothly like in previous years. This program is a form of our concern for the community, and we hope it can continue every year. We also ask for the cooperation of the participants to maintain their health, follow the rules during the trip, and pay attention to the departure schedule,” Patrick added.
