PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) Tanjung Priok Branch reported a remarkable performance in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, handling 3,818,277 tons of cargo—an impressive 126% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This figure also surpassed the company’s Q1 throughput target by 115%.
The PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok Branch, which operates at Indonesia’s busiest and largest port, successfully maintained smooth operations throughout Ramadan and the 2025 Eid al-Fitr period. The significant uptick in loading and unloading activities reflects the branch’s growing role in the nation’s logistics sector.
“As of March 2025, we’ve exceeded our RKAP (target) by reaching 115% of projected throughput, with a total volume of 3.8 million tons. This marks a 126% increase from the same period last year, largely driven by general cargo,” said Budi Utoyo, Branch Manager of PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok.
He further noted that services during Ramadan and Eid saw a 129% year-on-year increase, underscoring the branch’s ability to maintain operational excellence during peak seasons.
PTP Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok handles a wide variety of cargo types, including dry bulk (sand, cement, sugar, sulfur, salt); liquid bulk (crude palm oil/CPO, RBD Olien, RBD Stearin, PFAD/Palm Fatty Acid Distillate); and general cargo (gypsum, scrap iron, plywood, steel coils, cars, heavy equipment, and other steel products).
To support this growing demand, the port is equipped with substantial infrastructure and advanced handling equipment, including a 3,319.7 m³ pier, a 25,000 m³ warehouse, and a 150,000 m³ stacking yard. Operational equipment includes 11 Gantry Luffing Cranes, 12 Overhead Cranes, 8 Hoppers, 8 Grabs, and 1,011 fenders, along with forklifts and weighbridges to streamline cargo handling.
Staffed by certified human resources, the branch continues to prioritize service excellence, positioning itself as a key logistics hub within Indonesia.
