The partnership is focused on handling vessels and cargo, primarily coal, owned by BPB, aiming to streamline the shipment process while maximizing the potential business value for both companies.

As a key subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) / Pelindo Group, PT Jasa Armada Indonesia (IPCM) specializes in pilotage and towing services. Its core operations span across the Pelindo Regional 2 area, serving as a major player in Indonesia’s port logistics.

On the other hand, PT Bukit Prima Bahari is a subsidiary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk, operating in sea and river transportation, with a focus on coal logistics.

The MoU signing took place at Menara Kadin, Jakarta, and was officiated by Shanti Puruhita, President Director of PT JAI and Yanny R.M. Ondang, President Director of BPB.

The event was also attended by key industry figures, including Mega Satria, Finance Director of Pelindo; Rafli Yandra, Business Development Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk; and Rahmat Prayogi, Director of HR and General Affairs at PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to synergy among port stakeholders and reaffirms IPCM’s dedication to delivering top-tier services to our clients,” said Shanti Puruhita.

“In a competitive industry landscape, collaboration is key to enhancing service quality, ensuring timely delivery, and ultimately driving sustainable business growth.”

She added that prioritizing service for BPB would directly support the accuracy and timeliness of coal supply, particularly in South Sumatra, with a ripple effect on national energy logistics.

Echoing this, BPB President Director Yanny R.M. Ondang emphasized that the partnership would enhance operational efficiency.

“This collaboration is not only about improving shipment processes,” said Yanny, “but also about strengthening performance through mutual commitment to priority service, safety, and good corporate governance.”
