Terminal Teluk Lamong Expands Digital Truck Booking System to Nilam, Berlian Terminals

Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) has extended its Terminal Booking System (TBS) to two key container terminals, TPK Nilam and TPK Berlian, in a bid to boost efficiency and cut congestion across the busy Tanjung Perak Port area.

The digital booking platform, which requires trucks to reserve specific time slots for container pickup and drop-off, was officially launched at the two terminals on Thursday, following a successful rollout at TTL’s own Teluk Lamong terminal in June.

TTL said the TBS divides daily truck operations into six four-hour sessions, streamlining the flow of vehicles into the port and reducing traffic bottlenecks. The system is designed to better match truck arrivals with terminal handling capacity, ensuring more predictable and measurable service times.

“This initiative supports service efficiency and aligns with the National Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK),” said Agustinus Maun, Head of the Tanjung Perak Port Authority (KSOP). “It follows the successful implementation of the Single Truck Identity Document (STID), which now tracks more than 11,000 active trucks.”

TTL conducted stakeholder outreach on July 30, bringing together shipping lines, trucking companies, and terminal operators to prepare for the system expansion. Port authorities praised TTL and its partners for laying the groundwork, including digital infrastructure and staff readiness.

In tandem with the TBS, both TPK Nilam and TPK Berlian have also adopted an Integrated Billing System (IBS), aimed at making administrative procedures faster, more accurate, and more transparent. The IBS streamlines financial transactions between terminal operators and users.

TTL President Director David Pandapotan Sirait said the company would continue monitoring the system’s performance and making adjustments as needed. “Our commitment is clear, continuous innovation to deliver faster, more reliable services for all stakeholders,” he said.

TTL noted that the implementation at Nilam and Berlian proceeded more smoothly than at initial deployment sites, as many drivers were already familiar with the TBS platform.
