MTI Banjarmasin Steps Up Workplace Safety Measures with CLSR Socialization

PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI), a subsidiary of state-owned PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), has intensified efforts to strengthen occupational health and safety (OHS – K3) at its Region II Trisakti Port, Banjarmasin, by rolling out a series of safety drills and training sessions.

In a move to embed a culture of safety across its workforce, MTI conducted a safety induction and socialization of its Corporate Life Saving Rules (CLSR) on September 18. The initiative followed a full-scale emergency evacuation drill held on September 12, designed to test response readiness in the event of a workplace accident.

The evacuation simulation, which involved emergency response teams, medical personnel and other supporting units, aimed to enhance personnel preparedness, clarify individual roles in crisis scenarios, and improve coordination during rescue operations.

“Occupational safety is a top priority and a shared responsibility,” said Cahya Riza Andika, MTI’s Area Manager for Banjarmasin, in a written statement. “These activities are part of our effort to internalize the Golden Rules of HSSE—compliance, intervention, caring, and shared responsibility—into daily behavior.”

The CLSR program serves as a cornerstone of MTI’s safety culture, emphasizing discipline, vigilance and mutual care among employees, partners, and service users.

MTI said the initiative aligns with the broader safety agenda of parent company SPSL and supports Pelindo Group’s long-term mission to improve national logistics connectivity.
