PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), a subholding of state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo), is ramping up efforts to eliminate corruption and bribery across its operations by reinforcing its commitment to the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS).
The company, which provides marine, port equipment, docking, and shipyard services, is urging all employees, partners, and service users to adopt the “5 NOs” principle: No Bribery, No Kickbacks, No Gifts, No Luxurious Hospitality, and No Facilitation Payments.
“The company is implementing ISO 37001, and we again ask all stakeholders to support us in applying the 5 NOs principles throughout SPJM’s operational areas,” said President Director Arief Prabowo.
Now in its third year of implementation, the anti-bribery certification forms part of SPJM’s broader efforts to embed good corporate governance. The initiative is also aligned with the Pelindo Bersih (“Clean Pelindo”) program, which includes a dedicated Whistleblowing System (WBS) aimed at identifying and addressing unethical practices within the organization.
The ISO 37001:2016 standard helps organizations detect and respond to bribery risks, ensuring compliance through ongoing risk assessments, internal audits, and systematic reporting procedures.
Prabowo said that enforcing a culture of integrity is crucial to maintaining SPJM’s reputation and operational credibility.
“By applying this system, we are not only reducing the risk of fraud and bribery but also enhancing trust among stakeholders and ensuring that our services meet high standards of professionalism and integrity,” he said.
SPJM has also reaffirmed a zero-tolerance stance on gratuities, stating that no employee may accept gifts or benefits under any circumstance. Stakeholders are encouraged to support these measures by reporting violations through official channels.
Suspected violations can be reported via the Pelindo Bersih WBS by email at pelindobersih@whistleblowing.link, SMS to 0811-933-2345 or 0811-9511-665, or online at https://pelindobersih.pelindo.co.id.
Reports can also be submitted to the Gratuity Control Unit (UPG) team at SPJM. The company assures that all submissions will be handled confidentially and in good faith.
“We are committed to keeping our work environment transparent and accountable,” Prabowo added. “The Pelindo Bersih program will continue to be socialized internally and externally. With the 5 NOs and WBS, we are creating a neutral platform for reporting and reinforcing the foundations for a clean and corruption-free port.”
