Surya Dharma Syahputra from container depot operator PT Anugerah Indo Maritim Sejahtera has been elected chairman of the Indonesian Container Depot Association Chapter North Sumatra (DPW ASDEKI Sumut) for the 2025–2030 term, following the association’s second regional conference held on Saturday at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Medan.
The conference, attended by national and regional executives, also saw the participation of ASDEKI Headquarter (DPP) executive boards, including Chairman Mustofa Kamal Hamka and Deputy Chairman Agung Kresno.
In his address, Kamal underscored the pivotal role of container depots in sustaining the flow of goods across export, import, and domestic logistics chains. He urged ASDEKI members to maintain high service standards and adapt to evolving market demands.

“ASDEKI strives to actively support both central and regional governments in ensuring the smooth operation of national logistics,” Kamal said.
The leadership vote was closely contested, with Surya Dharma receiving five votes against four for rival candidate Ichwal Fauzi Harahap of PT Prima Indonesia Logistik. Ichwal was later appointed as an advisor to the regional council (ASDEKI Sumut).
After his election, Surya Dharma called for stronger unity among members.
“This conference marks an important moment for consolidation. We aim to reinforce solidarity within the association and build a resilient container depot industry ready to face future challenges,” he said.

Masaji Tatanan Kontainer Indonesia; PT. Mitra Dharma Laksana; PT. Prima Indonesia Logistik; PT. Sarana Baja Perkasa; and PT. Sinar Jati Mitra
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, highlighting a shared commitment to enhance synergy among North Sumatra’s container depot operators.
