PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) has secured two honours at the 2025 BUMN Branding & Marketing Awards (BBMA), a recognition the company says underscores its ongoing efforts to position itself as Indonesia’s leading Green & Smart Port.
TTL, which operates in the highly competitive B2B port services sector, has stepped up its branding strategy in recent years as it seeks to strengthen its market presence and enhance engagement with customers and stakeholders. The company has focused on improving brand visibility, building positive public perception, and aligning its services with global port standards.
The strategy includes the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies across its operations, carbon-emission reduction initiatives and reforestation programmes. TTL has also expanded its Greenerse programme, which encourages partners and stakeholders to take part in tree and mangrove planting efforts. In parallel, the company continues to run TJSL community-empowerment programmes in Ring 1 areas, with an emphasis on environmental protection.
Customer engagement has been another key pillar. TTL has hosted listening sessions, customer gatherings and site visits while introducing new initiatives aimed at improving the user experience. The company recently held a welcoming ceremony for the launch of its first shipping route, a gesture intended to acknowledge customer support and reinforce long-term relationships.

These combined efforts earned TTL a Platinum Award for Brand Agility & Perception and a Gold Award for Best Customer Experience & Personalization at this year’s BBMA. The event, organised by BUMN Track and held on Wednesday at the Borobudur Hotel in Jakarta, brought together 74 state-owned enterprises, listed companies and SOE subsidiaries from across the country.
BUMN Track CEO Syamsudin Hadi Sutarto said the awards recognise organisations that have effectively strengthened their branding and marketing approaches. “This award highlights the role of SOEs in building their reputation and positioning both nationally and globally,” he said.
Daniel Surya, Chairman of the BBMA 2025 Jury and Chairman of DMID & WIR Group, said brands today must offer real-time engagement as digital transformation accelerates. “The stronger the digital capabilities of a state-owned enterprise, the stronger the nation’s sovereign presence in the global arena,” he said.
TTL’s continued investments in technology, ESG integration and stakeholder collaboration are part of its broader effort to create a digital operational ecosystem that supports the terminal’s long-term sustainability.
TTL President Director David Pandapotan Sirait, who accepted the awards on behalf of the company, said the recognition comes at a meaningful moment. “This is a great honour for TTL and a special gift for our 12th anniversary,” he said. “It reflects the company’s ability to build a strong brand as a Green & Smart Port while consistently delivering the best customer experience.”
He credited TTL employees and partners for the achievement. “This success is the result of continuous innovation and dedication from our team. We are grateful for the trust of our customers, partners and stakeholders,” he added.
David said TTL would continue reinforcing its corporate positioning through consistent branding, creative communication and technology-driven innovation.
The awards mark a significant milestone in TTL’s branding and marketing transformation, which has accelerated over the past several years.
