Unloading Fertilizer in Lampung, PTP Nonpetikemas Supports Indonesia’s Agricultural Supply Chain

PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) said it has completed the unloading of 7,000 metric tons of Phonska bulk fertilizer at its Panjang Port terminal in Lampung, part of efforts to support Indonesia’s agricultural supply chain and food security.

The fertilizer, shipped aboard the KM Bunga Teratai from Gresik in East Java, is scheduled to be unloaded between April 23 and April 25, the company said.

PTP Nonpetikemas carried out the operation at its dry bulk terminal using port equipment including a gantry luffing crane, hopper, and grab.

The cargo belongs to PT Pupuk Indonesia and was represented in the operation by PT Petrokopindo Cipta Selaras. The fertilizer will be distributed for agricultural use, particularly for rice and fruit cultivation in Lampung, one of Indonesia’s key agricultural provinces.

“PTP Nonpetikemas is fully committed to supporting the smooth distribution of fertilizer as a national strategic commodity,” Panjang Branch Manager Doddy Setiawan said in a statement on Wednesday. “With optimal facilities and operational services, we aim to ensure distribution runs efficiently and on time.”

PTP Nonpetikemas, a subsidiary within the Pelindo Group, said its dry bulk throughput at the Panjang branch grew 5% in the first quarter compared with its internal target.

The company is also advancing digitalisation efforts through the Integrated Planning Control system and the Pelindo Terminal Operating System Multipurpose (PTOS-M), which is used to manage Nonpetikemasised cargo operations, including planning, monitoring, and reporting.

“Supported by an operational network across 11 port areas in western Indonesia, PTP Nonpetikemas continues to strengthen integrated Nonpetikemas terminal services,” said Liestya Ary Anggraini, Assistant Senior Manager for Corporate Communications and CSR.

She said the company handled 12.4 million tons of consolidated throughput in the first quarter of 2026, up 3.84% from 11.9 million tons in the same period last year. Dry bulk accounted for 46% of the total volume, followed by liquid bulk at 25%, general cargo at 24%, and bag cargo at 5%.
