PT Indonesia Air & Marine Supply (Airin Logistik) and PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) have just signed cooperation to build synergy on operation, marketing, and business development of bonded logistics centre (PLB) in Gresik, East Java.
The cooperation agreement was signed by PT Barata Finance and HRD Director Rahman Sadikin and PT Indonesia Air & Marine Supply President Director Rudolf Valintino in Jakarta on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
PT Barata Indonesia President Director Fajar Harry Sampurno, who is also Chairman of Cluster for Manufacturing Industry Development Acceleration at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), witnessed the assignment. Cluster for Manufacturing Industry Development Acceleration has members of some SOEs, including PT Barata Indonesia (Persero), PT. INKA (Persero), PT. BBI (Persero), PT. Dok Kodja Bahari (DKB) (Pesero), PT. IKI (Persero), and PT.DPS (Persero).
Fajar Harry appreciates with this cooperation, saying: “This cooperation is meant to tight cooperation among cluster members in optimizing our business potencies. So, we are so proud that members of this cluster can build cooperation.”
PT Barata Indonesia is a SOE doing business in component fabrication and construction projects in agroindustry, energy, irrigation, transportation and heavy equipment, and some related industries.
Meanwhile, PT Indonesia Air & Marine Supply is a subsidiary of a SOE, PT Dok Koja Bahari, running business in logistics, temporary freight station, and warehousing. In addition, Airin has permit for port business/port operator (BUP).
The cooperation between the two companies are meant to optimize the potencies and facilities for business operation and development. The two parties have agreement to do business synergy in Gresik.
The two parties are also ready to jointly run and develop business aspects in marketing, business development, operations license such as trucking license, forklift license, operation and development of bonded logistics centre, and some probable works in the future.
The two parties also agree to cooperate in supporting PLB license processing by consultant PT Anugerah Cemerlang Pratama under profit sharing scheme.
“This cooperation is based on the vision of both and on the principle of good corporate governance and is referring to the existing law and regulation,” said Rudolf Valintino, who is also Vice Chairman of Aptesindo (Indonesia Container Freight Station Association) and executive member of KADIN (Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Rudolf explained that this agreement will effective for one year since it was signed and addendum for extension is very probable. “We hope that this cooperation will encourage a better synergy between us.” He said.
The two parties also agree that this cooperation can be evaluated periodically.
