Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi is expected to inaugurate the executive boards of Indonesia Stevedoring Companies’ Association APBMI for the period 2021-2026, which is planned to be held in Jakarta on December 8, 2021.
“We hope the Minister (Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi) can directly inaugurate our new executive boards,” said Juswandi Kristanto, the elected Chairman of Indonesia Stevedoring Companies’ Association APBMI for the period 2021-2026.
Juswandi Kristanto will lead this organization for the period 2021-2026 after clinching the election through National Conference (Munas) VIII on October 27, 2021.
The VIII APBMI National Conference which was held in Jakarta on Wednesday (27/10/2021) was opened directly by the Director of Sea Transport Traffic of the Directorate General of Hubla of the Ministry of Transportation, Capt Mugen S Sartoto.
There were 672 stevedoring companies (PBM) throughout Indonesia who submitted their voting rights in the five-year election for the General Chairperson of the DPP APBMI.
Juswandi Kristanto said APBMI association had sent an invitation letter and a request related to this to the Minister of Transportation on November 26, 2021 and was received by the agency on November 28, 2021.
Juswandi said that around 200 invitations will attend the inauguration, including executive boards of APBMI Headquarter (DPP), executive boards of DPW (regional offices), and some honorary guests.
Juswandi revealed, as General Chairman, he has completed the composition of the APBMI executive boards and a number of work programs have been prepared.
Juswandi Kristanto is the CEO of Daisy Group. Before being chairman of APBMI Headquarter, he has also served as Chairman of the APBMI DKI Jakarta and General Chairman of Indonesia Shipping Agency Association (ISAA).
