New Office Expected to Help EDII Improving Service, Expanding Market in Central Java

In addition to expanding its international market, PT Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia (EDII) is also continuing domestic market expansion. This year, this subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II/IPC, will take focus to expand market to Central Java.

This includes the market of Special Province of Yogyakarta (DIY).

To support the market expansion and penetration of these provinces, EDII has just moved its offices to a more representative site, to Semarang Bizpark.

President Director Helmi Wantono said for the opening of the new office in conjunction with customer gathering on Thursday,  February 27, that the office removal is meant to provide a better relationship with and optimize service to customers.

Helmi expects this facility (new office) will help customers to get easier and faster service from EDII.

“We are so optimistic with the market of Central Java and DIY. We hope they will help to increase our (EDII) productivity and revenue,” Helmy said, adding that as an IT provider, EDII has been running business of e-Business Solution for 24 years.

Now, EDII has various of services users, including government bodies and institutions, state owned enterprises (BUMN), importers and exporters, shipping lines, banks, pharmacy companies, retailers, insurance, and automotive companies.

Through development and operational service provision of Indonesia National Single Window (SINSW) dan Online Single Submission (OSS), EDII has provided e-solution to government services. Some government institutions that have become beneficiaries including Ministries of Finance, Trade, Health, Transportation, and BKPM (Investment Coordinating Board).

For private sector, EDII provides ERP application and IT inventory that any companies, not only the ones within customs bonded zone but all companies in general, can use these applications.  “ERP is very fundamental for a company,” Helmi noted.

Relating to port business, in addition to provide e-business solution to port system, EDII also provides e-business solution for logistics business, both national and international, through platform freight marketplace.

EDII has also introduced product of Mediflash a solution of Third Party Administration (TPA) or Administration Service Only (ASO), an IT in health.

In addition to domestic market, EDII, as reported earlier, had extensively expanded market penetration to some neighbour countries to support its clients connected with their partners abroad.

It has built interconnection with some e-business providers including China’s CIECC that has connected to 14 provinces at this country, Japan’s NACCS, South Korea’s KTNet, InterCommerce (the Phillipine), and KGH in Sweden that has connected with all European countries.
