Indonesia’s leading container terminal the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) continues expanding market through adding new services after Taiwan-based shipping company TS Line opened new intra-Asia service.
On the second week of March 2021, TS Line new service – the NSJ (Nansha-Shekou-Jakarta) Service been agent Ben Line Agencies – firstly called at JICT. For JICT itself, the NSJ Service remained the first new service this year (2021).
The NSJ Service’ first call to JICT was run by 148-Meter containership MV Contship Uno on Friday, March 12, 2021.
The NSJ Service’ first call ceremony was directly witnessed by JICT Vice President Director and Commercial Director Budi Cahyono and National Operation Manager of TS Line and Ben Line Agencies Indonesia Andry Mart. Some JICT senior managers, including Senior Manager Marketing, also witnessed it.
NSJ Service will call weekly at weekend and will load more than 1,000 container boxes per call.
On his remark speech for this NSJ Service’ first call, Budi Cahyono said, “We appreciate and say thanks to TS Line that trusts us (JICT) to include in this NSJ Service route.”
“We commit to continue providing best service to customers,” Budi Cahyono said further, adding that this new service proved JICT is still the main choice of international shipping companies.
On the first call ceremony, Budi Cahyono also delivered ‘welcome souvenir’ to MV Contship Uno Captain Danny J Lao.
The Jakarta International Container Terminal is Indonesia’s biggest container terminal operated under affiliation of Hutchison Port Holding and State Port Operator PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (IPC).
