Indonesia Logistics and Forwarders’ Association (ALFI) Chairman Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi said in his remark speech for opening the 2nd Regional Conference (Muswil) and Regional Executive Meeting of ALFI Riau Islands (Kepri) Regional in Batam, on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
He also reminded all ALFI members in the regions regarding the importance of collaboration and harmonization between stakeholders to create logistics services that are more transparent, effective and efficient so that a logistics ecosystem can be created with commodities as the main driver.
Yukki said that transportation and logistics sector activities are one of the national economy backbone and a significant contributor to business opportunities.
The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) even recorded that the transportation and warehousing remained the sector with highest growth the highest growth in 2022, reaching 19.87 percent.
“I hope that economic growth in Batam can be even better and people’s purchasing power will also increase. Moreover, Batam is one of the investment destinations in Indonesia where a number of infrastructure development projects are quite massive in this region,” said Yukki.
Yukki also expects all logistics companies member in Batam together with stakeholders can play a role in guarding the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045. Therefore, ALFI members should not only focus on activities at the port, but must also expand services such as to airports.
Sunadi Chairs ALFI Kepri
The 2nd Muswil of ALFI chosed Sunadi as Chairman of ALFI Kepri for the 2023-2028 period. Golan Hasan is choosen as Secretary and Badriyah as treasurer.
In his speech, Sunadi expressed his appreciation to his friends from the Batam and Riau Islands DPW for their hard work and solidarity so that this Muswil ran well.
The results of the Muswil are also in accordance with the organization’s statuta (ADRT), so that the elected management can immediately carry out their work program for the next five years of service.
