Pantoloan Port – Pelindo Regional 4 Pantoloan – enjoyed a positive growth both in throughput and ship calls last year, thanks to the transformation and digitalization programs the Pelindo had taken, thus encouraging this port to this position.
According to data, this port container throughput in 2023 reached 108,266 TEUs, a 8.10% increase YoY, from 100,152 TEUs in 2022. Its ship calls grew slightly, by 1.96%, from 716 calls in 2022.
Commending such achievement, General Manager (GM) of Pelindo Regional 4 Pantoloan Hardin Hasjim explained that Pelindo has been continuously carrying out transformations in an effort to improve services and to drive the economy growth of the province (Central Sulawesi) and surroundings.
“We continue to do innovation and transformation to reach our target. And, here we are now. We enjoy a significant growth form early year,” said Hardin Hasjim.
The port also enjoyed an increase in the passengers it handled during the year. Total passengers reached 96,507 heads, increasing 9.41% YoY, from 88,207 in 2022. “Even it exceeded the target, reaching 102.78% of RKAP,” said Hardin.
Pentoloan port plays a gateway of trade in Central Sulawesi, handling both international and domestic trade. Pantoloan is also the largest and busiest port in the province which is located in the middle of Sulawesi Island and is also a trade center towards eastern Indonesia.
