Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) wins double award from Tanjung Perak Port Authority (KSOP Tanjung Perak) 2024. The two awards include categories of port operator (BUP) with the best environmental management and the terminal operator category with the best operational service performance.
These awards were delivered during KSOP Tanjung Perak Awards 2024 by Head of KSOP Tanjung Perak Surabaya Capt. Heru Susanto at Hotel Bumi Surabaya on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
On his remark speech for the event, Heru Susanto invited all stakeholders and port service users to improve operational performance towards a better Tanjung Perak Port and to improve the economy around the port.
“I would like to express my highest congratulations and thanks for the achievements achieved. Let us improve operational performance towards a better Tanjung Perak port,” Heru said.
In 2023, Terminal Teluk Lamong intensively carried out some environmental-friendly programs. The terminal intensively plant trees in the terminal area, both carried out internally by employees, partners, and visitors.
TTL also intensively carried out programs of solid waste management. TTL has collaborated with TPS 3R Tambak Osowilangun so that almost 30 percent of the waste produced can be managed and does not end up in TPA Benowo.
In the same year, TTL installed Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) Cluster 1 for domestic waste originating from the main office building of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong. Then in 2024, IPAL Cluster 2 will be built to serve domestic wastewater treatment from the canteen area and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, the awards as the terminal operator category with the best operational service performance was achieved as TTL continued to build a good collaboration and communication with stakeholders and service users.
Commending these awards, TTL Operation and Engineering Director Kalbar Yanto explained that these proved realization of the Terminal Teluk Lamong’s vision to become the best Green Smart Port.
“I am sure that this award can further motivate us to improve our performance and preserve the environment. In the future, we will increase employee involvement in innovation in improving operational services and contributing to environmental management,” he said.
