PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Subholding (SPTP), has won two prestigious international awards at the 2024 Global Ports Forum (GPF) Awards, proving the international community recognition to TTL’s green port initiatives.
The awards were addressed to David Sirait for the category of ‘the Terminal CEO of the Year 2024’ and to Teluk Lamong Terminal for the category of ‘the Green Port of the Year’.

Those awards were directly delivered by Executive Chairman of the Global Port Forum Thomas Ng to President Director of TTL David Pandapotan Sirait on Global Port Forum 2024 held at AI Nojoom, Shangri-La Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, on April 17, 2024.
The Global Port Forum Awards are annual awards given by the Global Port Forum, an international organization that brings together professionals and stakeholders in the port industry from around the world.
This award is given to recognize excellence in various aspects of port operations and innovation in the maritime industry with award categories covering aspects of sustainability, security, innovation, technology and efficient port management.
This award ceremony also aims to promote and develop best practices in port management, creating collaboration and knowledge exchange among global industry players.
TTL succeeded in getting the Green Port award after competing with several other international ports/terminals.

In his remarks, Thomas Ng said that ports have become important areas that require environmental-friendly and sustainable development. “This award is an appreciation for ports that properly coordinate the balance between environmental impacts and economic benefits. We believe the green port concept has great potential to be applied throughout the global port industry,” said Thomas.
Commending these achievements, David explained that for TTL, in addition to recognition for its environmental initiatives, these awards also prove TTL’s dedication to implementing sustainable development and also realizing operational excellence.
“We have carried out several initiatives such as investing in low-emission technology, increasing energy efficiency, encouraging recycling and reducing waste. These initiatives are not only part of our business strategy, but also our identity as an environmental-friendly port,” explained David.
In line with business developments, TTL remains committed to implementing sustainable business (sustainable port) through innovation and port transformation. “We would like to thank the Global Port Forum for this recognition and to all partners and stakeholders who have supported TTL’s green port initiative. Trust and support for our vision solidifies the position of Teluk Lamong Terminal as an environmental-friendly port that is in line with the global vision,” David said.
