Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) exports saw a significant rise in February 2025, reaching US$2.27 billion, according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This marked a sharp increase in both monthly and annual bases.
BPS Head, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, announced that the combined export value of CPO and its derivatives was the highest since August 2023, when it peaked at US$2.40 billion.
“Crude palm oil exports surged by 58.35% month-on-month (MoM), and 89.54% year-on-year (YoY),” Widyasanti stated during a press conference on Monday, March 17.
The export volume of CPO and its derivatives reached 2.06 million tons, a significant jump from the previous month’s volume of 1.27 million tons.
Additionally, Indonesia’s processing industry exports grew by 3.17% MoM, reaching US$17.65 billion. This growth was driven by stronger exports in palm oil, base metals, jewelry, basic organic chemicals, and ships. The total export value for February 2025 reached US$21.95 billion, reflecting a 2.58% MoM increase.
