IPC TPK Ensures Smooth Operations during Christmas and New Year

IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, said it has put in place anticipatory measures to ensure container loading and unloading services continue uninterrupted during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays.

The terminal is preparing for a potential surge in cargo volumes and variable weather conditions typical of the year-end period, aiming to maintain smooth logistics flows and high service standards for users.

“All IPC TPK work areas will remain operational during the Christmas and New Year period,” Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary & External Relations of IPC TPK, said in a statement. “We are ensuring that loading and unloading activities, as well as terminal services, run normally to support the smooth flow of national logistics during the holidays.”

Operational continuity measures include checking the readiness of loading and unloading equipment, strengthening human resource deployment, and managing traffic within and around the terminal. IPC TPK also emphasized maintaining an optimal Yard Occupancy Ratio (YOR) to prevent congestion.

The terminal said it aligns with government policies aimed at controlling goods flow ahead of the festive period, implementing YOR arrangements in line with shareholder provisions to ensure efficient cargo handling.

In response to seasonal weather risks, IPC TPK is bolstering safety procedures through regular weather monitoring, adjusting equipment operations for specific conditions, increasing field supervision, and conducting rigorous equipment reliability checks.

Coordination with port stakeholders—including the Port Authority Office, Harbormaster, Tanjung Priok Port Police, and other agencies—is ongoing to ensure smooth vehicle movements and logistics distribution during the holiday season.

“We are committed to maintaining operational performance according to standards and ensuring that all loading and unloading activities are carried out safely and efficiently,”
