IPC TPK Reports 16.7% Container Throughput Surge in H1

IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, reported a 16.7% increase in container throughput for the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year, boosted by rising import-export activity and domestic trade.

The company, currently marking its 12th anniversary, handled 1.7 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in the January–June period, up from 1.45 million TEUs in the first half of 2024. Throughput in June alone rose 10.7% year-on-year to 291,465 TEUs.

“We remain committed to enhancing customer satisfaction through both improved on-ground service and optimized digital systems,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary and Head of External Relations at IPC TPK.

The rise in throughput was driven by steady growth in both international and domestic cargo flows. In the Panjang terminal, container traffic jumped 29.1%, supported by strong exports of regional staples such as coffee beans, fresh bananas, rubber, frozen shrimp, and black pepper from Lampung. The Pontianak terminal also saw a 6.5% rise, helped by growing domestic shipments and additional volumes from a major shipping line.

“As we celebrate our 12th year of operations, we aim to continue being a reliable logistics partner for our customers, one that contributes to lowering national logistics costs,” Wulandary added.
