Pelindo Jasa Maritim Expands Operations to Sumuradem Tersus

PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), a subholding of state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), has officially begun pilotage and towing services at the Sumuradem Special Terminal (Tersus) in Indramayu, West Java.

The launch, marked by a socialization event, aims to ensure professional, efficient, and sustainable maritime services in the Class I pilotage zone. The initiative is part of SPJM’s broader effort to enhance coordination with terminal users and stakeholders, while also delivering operational updates, tariff information, and administrative procedures following the recent handover of services.

Key attendees included the Head of the Indramayu Port Management Unit (KUPP), the General Manager of Pelindo Regional Port 2 Cirebon Branch, Capt. Agusman Katoroy, and SPJM Region 2 Senior Manager, Capt. Sunarna. Also present were representatives from PT Adhi Guna Putera, the terminal operator, and other local agencies.

The event highlighted customer service tools provided by the Pelindo Group, including a 24/7 call center (dial 102), WhatsApp support at 0811-1552-102, and an email contact at customer.care@pelindo.co.id for inquiries and complaints.

Ahead of the event, SPJM and PT Adhi Guna Putera signed a memorandum of understanding (novation) for pilotage and towing services at the terminal, which supports logistics for the nearby Sumuradem Steam Power Plant (PLTU).

“This collaboration reinforces synergy between state-owned entities,” said Tubagus Patrick, SVP Corporate Secretary at SPJM. “The Sumuradem PLTU is critical to electricity supply in West Java and Jakarta. Our reliable pilotage and towing operations will help secure energy distribution across the Java-Bali grid.”
