PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), a subsidiary of Indonesia’s state-owned port operator Pelindo, has signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s Uni-Star Logistics International Holding Ltd to develop integrated cross-border logistics services between the two countries.
The agreement, signed on September 26 in Hangzhou, marks a step toward expanding SPSL’s international presence and enhancing logistics connectivity across the Indonesia–China corridor. SPSL was represented by its Commercial and Technical Director, Ruri Indrasari Rachmaputri, while Uni-Star was represented by Executive Director Eugene Qiu. The ceremony was witnessed by Ali Murtopo Simbolon, Deputy for Trade and Digital Economy Coordination at Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
Under the partnership, the two companies plan to explore joint logistics services aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and promoting sustainable trade flows within the region.
“This partnership represents a crucial opportunity for SPSL to strengthen its role as an integrated logistics solutions provider with global reach and service standards,” Ruri said in a statement. “We are optimistic that this collaboration will open new business opportunities and create added value for customers in both countries.”

SPSL, which oversees Pelindo Group’s logistics and hinterland development, views the partnership as part of its long-term strategy to build a more connected and resilient supply chain network across Asia.
“This collaboration is a foundation for a sustainable supply chain, which is the direction of future logistics development,” Ruri said, adding that cross-border partnerships are essential for adapting to global logistics dynamics.
Through the agreement, SPSL aims to strengthen its service coverage in export, import, and freight forwarding activities in the Asia-Pacific region. The company expects the partnership to help unlock regional logistics potential and enhance competitiveness for both nations.
“We believe this collaboration will deliver long-term benefits in reinforcing supply chains between countries, especially across Asia,” Ruri said. “By sharing expertise and solutions, SPSL seeks to reinforce Indonesia’s role as a leading maritime hub offering efficient and competitive logistics services.”
