PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim (PSM) has held a keel-laying ceremony for two fiber-molded pilot vessels at its Jakarta I Shipyard in Ancol, marking the official start of construction for the new units commissioned by PT Pelindo Marine Service (PMS), a fellow subsidiary under Pelindo’s maritime services subholding, SPJM.
The two vessels, each powered by 200 horsepower engines, are scheduled to be completed within six months. During the ceremony, representatives from the Tanjung Priok Port Authority, PSM, PMS and classification agency PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) signed the First Lamination Minutes, formalizing the start of hull construction.
Named MP Mandalika 01 and MP Mandalika 02, the vessels measure approximately 9.5 metres in length, 2.3 metres in width and 1.15 metres in height.

PSM President Director Budi Pratomo said the project reflects the company’s expanded role within the Pelindo Group. Under SPJM’s directive, PSM has been assigned since 2025 to handle new-build vessel construction for Pelindo subsidiaries.
He noted that work on the two pilot vessels has reached 52.48% completion, 17.6 percentage points ahead of the internal schedule.
PSM Director of Operations and Commercial Nurhadi said the shipyard is on track to deliver both vessels in the first week of February 2026.

“PSM is optimistic the construction will be completed on time. Throughout the process, we are prioritizing build quality, adherence to specifications and occupational health and safety,” Nurhadi said.
“We hope this project will strengthen the skills of PSM’s workforce and further build customer confidence in our ability to deliver new vessels,” he said.
