The initiative, part of PTP’s TJSL Peduli K3 (Health and Safety Care) program, included safety training, emergency simulations, and the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, vests, and chain straps to 40 stevedoring workers (TKBM).

“Safety at the port starts with shared awareness,” said Hari Priyatna, Branch Manager of PTP Terminal Nonpetikemas Cirebon.

“Every individual has a role in maintaining a secure working environment. This program reinforces that belief.”

The event brought together port workers and representatives from key stakeholders. Training sessions focused on safety protocols, the correct use of PPE, and emergency response procedures.

Warta, Coordinator of dockers (TKBM) at Cirebon Port, underscored the importance of discipline. “The procedures are already in place. What matters is our consistency in applying them. We’re grateful for PTP Terminal Nonpetikemas’ support.”

Ferry Anggoro Hendianto, Head of the Cirebon Class II Port Authority (KSOP), echoed the message, calling PPE a fundamental aspect of worker protection.

A formal signing of the Joint Commitment to OHS Implementation concluded the event, marking a collaborative step to strengthen safety standards across the port ecosystem.

The Cirebon initiative follows similar programs rolled out by PTP Terminal Nonpetikemas Tanjung Priok, Pangkal Balam, Jambi, Palembang, Pontianak, and Teluk Bayur.
