PTP Nonpetikemas Pangkal Balam, Port Users Sign SLA

PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) signed a joint Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Pelindo Regional 2 Pangkal Balam and port users on Thursday, April 9, aiming to improve service standards and operational reliability at Pangkal Balam port.

The agreement brings together the Pelindo Group and stakeholders in a commitment to provide transparent and professional port services while maintaining safety and security standards, the company said.

President Director Indra Hidayat Sani said the agreement was part of efforts to ensure consistent service quality and support operational performance.

“This joint commitment is a foundation to build trust and improve service quality at the port,” Indra said, adding that collaboration with partners and customers would help ensure smoother and safer operations.

He said maintaining integrity and adherence to procedures was key to sustaining service standards amid changes in the logistics sector.

The agreement is expected to be implemented in day-to-day operations to support Pangkal Balam port’s role as a logistics hub.

Achmad Yoga Suryadarma, General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Pangkal Balam, said the agreement would help strengthen cooperation among port stakeholders and support long-term business relationships.

Pangkal Balam port mainly handles agricultural and plantation commodities, in line with South Bangka’s regional development priorities.

The port operates a multipurpose terminal in Pangkal Balam and Belinyu, handling cargo such as fertilizer, cement, construction materials, rubber, palm kernel meal, shells and containers.
