Under the partnership, IPCM will provide priority pilotage and towing services to support STS activities in the Class I pilotage waters of the Outer Musi River. The river serves as a major route for coal shipments from South Sumatra, one of Indonesia’s key coal-producing regions.

IPCM President Director Shanti Puruhita said the collaboration forms part of the company’s strategy to broaden its operational footprint while supporting the smooth flow of national logistics.

“This collaboration is a strategic step for IPCM to expand its operational service reach in areas with strong port activity potential,” Shanti said in a statement.

“The Musi River is a vital logistics route in South Sumatra, making professional pilotage and towing services with high safety standards essential.”

She added that the partnership is expected to strengthen IPCM’s position as a reliable maritime service provider while supporting sustainable business growth.
