In an interview on November 21, 2024, the Head of Jasa Raharja Southeast Sulawesi Branch, Abdillah, outlined two key initiatives aimed at promoting tax compliance in the region. These initiatives focus on providing benefits to taxpayers and forging partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.

One of Jasa Raharja’s key strategies is offering “stimuli” or incentives to community members who comply with their vehicle tax obligations. As of October 2024, the company has collaborated with 28 local merchants across various sectors, including retail, food services, vehicle repair shops, hospitals, and more. These partnerships enable tax-compliant individuals to enjoy discounts and special offers, thus making timely tax payments more attractive.

“By partnering with merchants in multiple sectors, we aim to make the tax compliance process more rewarding for the public,” said Abdillah. “This initiative helps create a positive association between tax compliance and tangible benefits for the community.”

Collaborating with Key Stakeholders

In addition to working with local businesses, Jasa Raharja has also strengthened its collaboration with 23 important stakeholders, including banks, vehicle financing institutions, and government agencies. These partnerships are designed to create a more efficient system for verifying tax compliance as part of various administrative processes.

For instance, Jasa Raharja is working with stakeholders to ensure that vehicle owners fulfill their tax obligations before completing other critical procedures, such as vehicle registration or financing. Abdillah emphasized, “Our collaboration with these partners ensures that vehicle tax compliance becomes a prerequisite for services, making it a more integrated part of administrative processes.”
