PTP Nonpetikemas has also led in several cargo categories. Bengkulu topped the dry bulk category with 7,445 tons per ship per day (T/S/D), Tanjung Priok handled the most general cargo at 2,587 T/S/D, Teluk Bayur excelled in liquid bulk with 4,351 T/S/D, and Tanjung Priok also led in bag cargo with 2,394 T/S/D.

“This performance reflects PTP Nonpetikemas’ commitment to optimizing terminal services, especially at key ports like Tanjung Priok, Banten, Teluk Bayur, Panjang, and Kijing. We will continue to improve operational efficiency and aim to exceed our targets in the months ahead,” said Indra Hidayat Sani, President Director of PTP Nonpetikemas.

Efforts to Reach Ambitious Target of 53.5 Million Tons

PTP Nonpetikemas has set an ambitious throughput target of 53.5 million tons/m³ for 2025. To reach this goal, the company is implementing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational productivity.

These initiatives include modernizing terminals, strengthening multipurpose and conventional dock services, and forging strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. PTP Nonpetikemas is also embracing digital technology with the implementation of PTOS-M, optimizing loading and unloading equipment, and expanding port terminal operations across multiple locations, including Palembang, Banten, Cirebon, Kijing, Jambi, and Pangkal Balam.

Since 2024, the company has expanded its operations to include shorebase activities supporting upstream oil and gas operations in Jakarta, Lhoksumawe (Aceh), and Banyuwangi (East Java). Moreover, the management of Kijing Terminal has supported the first bauxite injection process into the Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR). This expansion is expected to double the productivity of liquid bulk shipments at Kijing Terminal by 2025.

To further improve services, PTP Nonpetikemas is enhancing liquid bulk handling at the Kijing and Pontianak terminals by upgrading unloading equipment and optimizing pipe rack systems. Additionally, the company is focusing on increasing operational efficiency by standardizing and systematizing services across its 12 terminals, with plans to expand these initiatives to other locations. This is aimed at boosting port competitiveness and accelerating national logistics flows.

Commitment to Good Corporate Governance

PTP Nonpetikemas is dedicated to maintaining high standards of corporate governance, including strict anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies. The company rejects any form of illegal fees or charges in its operations.

“We ensure our operations are transparent, accountable, and aligned with the highest integrity standards. This commitment is integral to fostering a healthy and trusted business ecosystem,” said Fiona Sari Utami, Corporate Secretary of PTP Nonpetikemas.

With these strategic initiatives in place, PTP Nonpetikemas is confident in its ability to meet the surge in logistics demand expected ahead of Ramadan 2025. The company’s 24/7 services ensure smooth operations, efficient cargo distribution, and timely loading/unloading, all of which contribute to national economic growth.

In 2024, PTP Nonpetikemas contributed significantly to the SPMT Group, accounting for 39% of its total throughput, with 47,046,785 tons/m³. This comprised dry bulk (47%), general cargo (25%), liquid bulk (22%), and bag cargo (6%).

Notable throughput increases were observed across several branches. Tanjung Priok, for example, recorded the highest traffic, handling 8,699,527 tons/m³ in general and bag cargo, making it the leading branch not just for PTP but across all SPMT Group terminals.

Teluk Bayur led in liquid bulk, with 2,783,465 tons, ranking 4th in SPMT Group. Tanjung Priok also topped the dry bulk category with 4,764,341 tons, the third highest across the entire SPMT Group.
