PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas), a non-container terminal operator and subsidiary of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal Subholding (SPMT) recently hosted a “Developing Great Entrepreneur 2025” training program.
This training aims supporting the growth and competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within its company environment. The event, held from March 19-25, 2025, underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering the development of MSMEs.
Over the course of five days, participants were introduced to key topics designed to enhance the performance and marketability of MSMEs. These topics included entrepreneurship, digitalization, financial management, and effective branding and packaging strategies.
Expert speakers included Chiko Maradona from ‘Bisa Tumbuh’, Islah and Johanes from Pawon Digital, and Vici from Flexypack. A total of 15 participants, including members of the PTP’s MSMEs Academy – Akademi UMKM Jus Merger PTP – and MSME tenants at Pelindo Tower, took part in the training.

Chiko Maradona shared his insights, stating, “As an MSME entrepreneur, it’s important to continuously improve your skills and stay updated with the latest business knowledge to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.”
The training was structured around the Developing Great SME Process, which evaluates MSMEs based on five key parameters: Spread, Size, Sustain, Share, and Supplier. With focused coaching, the goal is to cultivate these businesses into MSME Champions.
This initiative also aligns with the broader Road to Developing Great SME program, which includes additional support such as tailored coaching, marketing opportunities through Local Pride Spot, integration with the PaDi MSME platform, and the creation of an e-catalog featuring top products in the craft, fashion, and food sectors managed by Pelindo.
In addition to the training, MSME Academy participants benefited from one-on-one coaching and mentoring sessions. These interactions are designed to equip business owners with the tools and knowledge necessary to run more independent and sustainable enterprises.
Fiona Sari Utami, the Corporate Secretary of PTP Nonpetikemas expects the positive impact of the program. “We hope that through this training, participants will be better prepared to run independent, thriving MSMEs. This initiative also involves collaboration with PT Menara Maritim Indonesia to engage MSMEs located in Pelindo Tower,” said Fiona.

“This training reflects our commitment to supporting the growth of MSMEs, particularly those in our corporate environment. We hope participants can apply what they’ve learned to advance their businesses,” Fiona said further.
