IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, has launched a training program aimed at enhancing the operational competence of its workforce in Jambi, as part of a broader push to improve container terminal performance across Indonesia.
The program, known as the Container Terminal Operations (CTO) Refreshment, is designed to strengthen both technical and managerial skills among terminal staff. The latest session was held from August 5–7, involving 30 operational workers divided into three batches.
“This initiative is part of our commitment to building sustainable human resources. We are investing in continuous development to ensure our workforce remains productive, competent, and responsive to changes in the maritime and logistics sector,” said Yanuar Evyanto, Director of Finance, HR, and Risk Management at IPC TPK.
The training covered a wide range of topics, including container terminal operations, business processes, planning and control functions, and an introduction to the Nusantara Terminal Operating System (TOS) currently in use. Participants also received training on global and domestic shipping networks and reinforced protocols around occupational safety.
The CTO Refreshment forms part of IPC TPK’s broader operational excellence agenda, which aims to foster a high-performance culture across all terminals. According to the company, the program not only targets skill enhancement but also supports employee welfare and talent management.
“In addition to developing competencies, we prioritize employee well-being and innovation. By aligning our workforce with international safety standards and operational best practices, we aim to create a zero-accident environment and raise overall terminal performance,” Yanuar added.
IPC TPK plans to extend similar refreshment programs to other work areas as it continues to modernize Indonesia’s port infrastructure and support national logistics competitiveness.
