State port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) has re-entered the prestigious Fortune Indonesia 100 list, buoyed by strong financial and operational performance in 2024, the state-owned port operator said on Saturday.
Pelindo was ranked 37th overall and placed fourth in the infrastructure sector by Fortune Indonesia magazine, which annually lists the country’s top 100 companies based on revenue.
“Pelindo’s return to the Fortune Indonesia 100 serves as added motivation for all employees to deliver better and more competitive services,” said President Director Arif Suhartono in a statement.
“We aim to continue supporting national economic growth while creating added value for communities.”

The company reported operating revenue of IDR 34.8 trillion ($2.2 billion) in 2024. Its total contribution to the state, through dividends, taxes, concessions, and state non-tax income (PNBP) other payments, reached IDR 7.47 trillion, according to official data.
Pelindo attributed its performance to increased throughput across all port service lines. Container traffic reached 18.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), marking a 7% rise from 2023, while cargo volumes surged 18% year-on-year to 201 million tonnes.
Despite global economic headwinds, Arif said Pelindo maintained operational momentum across its integrated ports network, which plays a critical role in facilitating Indonesia’s trade and logistics.
Beyond business operations, Pelindo continued its environmental initiatives, focusing on marine ecosystem conservation in its port areas. Efforts included the preservation of mangroves, coral reefs, seagrass beds, and dugong habitats, particularly in Bintan, Riau Islands.
“These programs not only help protect biodiversity but also open up opportunities for eco-education tourism, benefiting local communities,” Arif said. “Ports are intrinsically linked to the sea, and protecting the coastal environment is vital to ensuring the sustainability of port operations.”
Pelindo, formed through a merger of four state-owned port companies in 2021, manages dozens of ports across the Indonesian archipelago and is a key player in the government’s logistics and maritime infrastructure push.
