TPK Berlian Stages Cyberattack Simulation to Bolster Terminal Resilience

As part of its push to standardize digital infrastructure across its port operations, Indonesia’s PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) has conducted a business continuity simulation at TPK Berlian to prepare for potential cyberattacks and system outages.

The exercise, held in mid-2025, marks a key milestone for TPK Berlian, one of TTL’s newly acquired terminals, which is currently transitioning to TTL’s integrated Port Terminal Operating System (P-TOS). The simulation tested the terminal’s response to digital disruptions and forms part of TTL Group’s broader strategy to create a resilient and unified port ecosystem.

“This simulation is part of TPK Berlian’s adaptation process as a new member of the TTL family,” said Burhanudin, Head of TPK Berlian Terminal. “Even though we’re still in the system transition phase, it’s critical to ensure operational reliability is maintained.”

TTL, a subsidiary of state-run port operator Pelindo, has gained recognition for its flagship terminal, TPK Lamong, known as Indonesia’s first smart and green port. While TPK Lamong already operates on a fully digitized platform, both TPK Berlian and TPK Nilam are undergoing upgrades to align with TTL’s advanced digital infrastructure.

TTL’s President Director, David Pandapotan Sirait, said the simulation was designed to reinforce the group’s preparedness and commitment to resilience amid ongoing digital transformation.

“Through TPK Lamong, TTL has implemented smart systems, including AI-driven tools, to streamline port operations. As TPK Nilam and TPK Berlian move toward the same standard, this simulation ensures that resilience underpins our transformation process,” he said.

TTL’s long-term vision, David added, is to build a “Smart, Secure, and Sustainable Port Ecosystem” that can serve as a benchmark across the Pelindo Group. The company is positioning itself at the forefront of innovation in Indonesia’s port industry, with a dual focus on technological advancement and environmental responsibility.
