PT Hasnur Internasional Shipping Tbk (HIS) (IDX: HAIS), a leading provider of river and sea transportation as well as logistics services in Indonesia, continues to enhance its operational capacity with the addition of new vessels to its fleet.
In early 2025, HIS officially launched the operation of two tugboats, TB Hasnur 21 and TB Hasnur 22, along with one barge, BG Hasnur 3311. The inauguration took place on February 3, 2025, in Sungai Puting, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan, through a traditional Tampung Tawar ceremony—a customary prayer ritual expressing gratitude and seeking blessings for new endeavors.
The addition of these new vessels is part of HIS’s long-term growth strategy to increase operational efficiency and service reliability in the coal and commodity shipping sector. By expanding its fleet, the company aims to better serve its customers and business partners with enhanced transportation and logistics solutions.
Laorentina Devi, Director of Operations at PT Hasnur Internasional Shipping Tbk, emphasized that the fleet expansion underscores HIS’s commitment to contributing to the national maritime industry while maintaining the highest standards of service.
“Alhamdulillah, as we step into 2025, we are energized to further strengthen our operations with the launch of TB Hasnur 21, TB Hasnur 22, and BG Hasnur 3311. This expansion marks a significant step forward in ensuring smoother operations and sustained business growth,” said Laorentina Devi.
In keeping with company tradition, HIS conducted a Tampung Tawar ceremony prior to the fleet’s deployment. This Muslim Dayak cultural ritual reflects HIS’s corporate values, emphasizing respect for local traditions while seeking blessings for success and prosperity.
The newly launched vessels are designed to boost operational efficiency: TB Hasnur 21 and TB Hasnur 22 – Tugboats with an engine capacity of 2,200 horsepower (HP) each and BG Hasnur 3311 – A 330-foot barge with a carrying capacity of 10,500 metric tons (MT)
With the addition of these three vessels, HIS now operates a total of 20 tugboats and 20 barges, further solidifying its position as a key player in Indonesia’s tug and barge industry.
This fleet expansion also aligns with HIS’s 2025 operational target of transporting 12.5 million metric tons (MT). By enhancing its capacity, HIS continues to reinforce its leadership in shipping and logistics, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality services for its clients.
With a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction, HIS remains committed to playing a pivotal role in Indonesia’s maritime and logistics industry, driving growth, reliability, and sustainability.
