The Association of Indonesian Port Businesses (ABUPI) has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the government in developing a modern, inclusive, and globally competitive port ecosystem across Indonesia.
Liana Trisnawati, the newly elected Chairperson of ABUPI, emphasized this commitment ahead of the official inauguration of the association’s executive board for the 2025–2030 period, which will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in Jakarta.
This inauguration marks a significant milestone for ABUPI as it seeks to strengthen its role as a strategic ally of the government in advancing the national port sector.
Liana will lead the inauguration ceremony, which will be attended by key stakeholders including officials from the Ministry of Transportation, members of ABUPI’s board of trustees, advisory and expert boards, as well as representatives from related industry associations.
“This inauguration ceremony is the first step toward unifying the vision and energy of ABUPI’s new leadership in fulfilling our mandate for the next five years,” said Hikmatul Laila, Chair of the ABUPI 2025–2030 Inauguration Committee.
As part of the event, a preparatory briefing will be held for incoming board members before the formal inauguration procession. These activities reflect ABUPI’s continued dedication to building a future-ready port ecosystem that is modern, sustainable, and capable of competing on the global stage.
“With a spirit of collaboration, the new ABUPI executive board is ready to implement strategic programs over the next five years—including streamlining licensing processes, increasing tariff transparency, accelerating port digitalization, and improving inter-port connectivity across Indonesia,” said Liana
