ALFI CONVEX 2025 to Spotlight Logistics Reform in Road to 2045

Indonesia’s logistics and freight-forwarding industry took a major step toward sector-wide transformation with the official launch of ALFI CONVEX 2025, a national logistics conference and exhibition themed “Indonesia in Motion: Logistics Transformation Towards Golden Indonesia 2045.”

The event, spearheaded by the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI), was unveiled on Wednesday at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in Jakarta.

The three-day conference is scheduled to take place from November 12 to 14, 2025, at ICE BSD in South Tangerang.

Designed as a strategic forum, ALFI CONVEX 2025 aims to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, associations, and investors, both domestic and international, to address critical challenges in logistics and supply chain development. The goal: to boost Indonesia’s competitiveness and attract investment into key sectors that will underpin long-term economic resilience.

“ALFI CONVEX 2025 is not just a conference. It’s a catalyst for aligning logistics transformation with Indonesia’s 2045 vision,” said Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto during the launch event.

Hartarto emphasized that an efficient, digitized logistics sector is central to Indonesia’s broader development ambitions. Despite recent gains, increasing its logistics sector’s GDP contribution from 4.6% in 2020 to 6.64% in 2024, Indonesia currently ranks 61st out of 139 countries in global logistics performance.

To accelerate progress, the government has outlined three priority strategies: strengthening logistics infrastructure, digitizing services, and upgrading human capital in the sector.

“Digitalization is not optional, it’s imperative,” Hartarto said. “We can only achieve real efficiency if logistics processes are integrated and driven by technology.”

He also urged stronger collaboration between national and regional governments, private sector actors, and logistics associations to fully realize the benefits of deregulation and sectoral reform.

Platform to Drive Real Progress

ALFI Chairman M. Akbar Djohan described the upcoming event as a “concrete contribution” by the logistics industry to the national economy.

“We believe logistics is the backbone of Indonesia’s transformation. ALFI CONVEX 2025 is a platform to drive real progress and create a more connected, competitive logistics ecosystem,” Djohan said.

More than 150 exhibitors and 100 speakers from across the globe are expected to participate, with a target audience of over 5,000 visitors from key professional sectors.

The conference will cover a broad range of themes, including logistics efficiency, supply chain digitalization, green transition and sustainability, port competitiveness, and cross-sectoral collaboration with e-commerce, fisheries, and tourism.

ALFI is also actively engaging stakeholders, including the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), key ministries, trade associations, and international development partners, to turn ALFI CONVEX 2025 into a showcase of Indonesia’s logistics capabilities and future ambitions.

“We don’t want this to be just an exhibition,” Djohan added. “It must become a collaborative space to build cross-sector understanding—from maritime and port infrastructure to human resource and technological innovation.”
