PT ACM (Arrow Chain Management) Logistics plans to disburse as much as Rp 20 billion as capital expenditure (Capex) in 2024. This Capex will be allocated to fund development and construction of cold chain logistics infrastructure at Banten region, the company has said in a press statement.
ACM Logistics Corporate Secretary Nur Hasanah explained that this is in accordance with the company’s strategic plan to strengthen the cold chain logistics network in the Banten and West Java regions which had been extensively developed in the last several years.
As reported earlier, in 2022, the company had built cold storage in the Pandeglang, Banten.
The Capex would be disbursed in some stages. In the initial stages in first quarter (Q1) 2024, the company will disburse some of the Capex budget for the construction of cold storage in the Serang, Banten. Some others will be disbursed in second semester (H2) 2024 for purchasing cold vehicles to distribute cargo.
The cold storage in Serang, Banten will be intended for storing FMCG (fast moving customer goods) products in the form of ice cream which will later be distributed to approximately 800 retailers, both modern trade (MT) and general trade (GT).
With this capex spending, the company is eyeing a 30% revenue growth in 2024, higher than the growth last year (2023) which reached 25% year on year (YoY).
The capex budget comes from potential strategic partners, corporate action by issuing new shares and through bank loans.
